hi. i want to buy a mei tai sling in Hong Kong. Where can I buy one? Has anyone bought one and do you recommend it over the other slings? my girl is quite heavy so I need something to help me carry her.
You can buy them at some markets (Wanchai/Sham Shui Po?) - they are cheap, functional but not beautiful. You can buy more stylish ones on the internet - www.nappypooh.com is local, or there are plenty in the USA if you google it. It's a good sling, although takes a bit of pratice to use. The weight distribution is better the wider the shoulder straps are.
I really like it and much prefer it over the delux baby bjorn and moby wrap. those are the only other carriers I've tried. Once you put it on a few times, it is really quite easy.
