Medical (blood) pregnancy test in HK

Hi,

I want to get a medical pregnancy test done to be sure I have not conceived. It has been more than 10 days since my ovulation but I don't want to wait until my due date.

Can someone direct me to hospitals / clinics in Hong Kong who can do the blood test for pregnancy. I visited Family Planning Association clinic today but the one I visited only had urine based test and they advised me to come back after a week.

Please suggest.

many over the counter urine tests can tell you before your due date (mine told me almost 5 days before my due date).

i would assume that a visit to an obgyn would work...you can't just walk into a hospital/clinic in hk for a pregnancy test.

but a blood test will take time, they can't tell you immediately if you are pregnant, the blood needs to be analysed... by the time you get the results, your due date may have already arrived...
 
I can suggest you Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital (2 Village Road, Happy Valley). They have a very good lab (1 st floor , Li Shu Fan Block - if I remember well) and if you go first hour in the morning you can have the result before lunchtime. I don't know if it is requested to have one of their obgyn for having these services but you can inform yourself. good luck.
 
over the counter tests are quite accurate....of you could just visit your GP and they will have no problem with doing the test
 
You can get a HCG blood test done at Pathlab. Check their websites for location. I am not sure if you need a letter from GP. You will get to know the result in 1-2hrs maximum but I would say it would be best to wait until Day 14 after ovulation to get it done.
