Meat and Three Veg "feed yourself" Pattie

I made this meal up when I discovered my baby (she was about 14 months old at the time) only wanted to feed herself but wouldn't eat veggies. It looks and tastes like a hamburger pattie but has hidden goodness too.

Great for freezing and easy to cook.

What you'll need:
500g lean mince meat
2 carrots, grated
2 zucchini's, grated
1 leek, cut finely or grated
1 egg
1 garlic clove

Breadcrumbs and/or Semolina (use as desired to cut down moistness)
1/2 teaspoon of Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon of Tomato Sauce
1 tteaspoon of Soy Sauce

Optional items/ideas:
Small tin of crushed tomatoes
Baby spinach (only a very small amount otherwise it gets seen!)
Baby sweet corn, chopped very finely
Beans, chopped very very finely

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.

With the sauces, again you can adjust to your needs. You only want a little of the Worcestershire and soy to taste. The dominate flavour should be the tomato.

Makes about 10 patties. Keep one out for that night's dinner and freeze the rest.

Fry in a little oil like a hamburger pattie.

Watch your child feed herself and eat a "full meal" of meat and three veg.

We do the same thing. :)

Our patties have meat, grated carrots, eggs, coriander, apple (diced), broccoli (small pieces). Grated carrots, coriander, apples, and broccoli get blended (food processor) together then mixed in with the meat and the egg.

We make chicken "nuggets" the same way --except we use chicken and roll them up into little balls.
