Matilda Hospital Charges / Pls help..

Hi everyone,

I am planning to deliver in Matilda on Nov but i would like to have an idea how much i will be paying after delivery if everything goes fine (normal delivery/drug free). Pls share your experiences if you dont mind as i have to decide soon. I would really appreciate it a lot. Thanks in advance! x

Thanks so much for the info. I already look at Matilda web before i post this. The reason i was asking for help is because i called Matilda and was just asking for an estimated price but i wouldnt get any. I guess because it depends. But the husband is so stubborn and wanting to know. Thats why i was wondering who can tell me their experiences in Matilda paying out of their pocket (i mean how much they paid out of their pocket with normal delivery/drug free) if there is any. But anyhow, thanks for the help. Really appreciate it..

I have not yet delivered at matilda but do plan to do so in around 2 months. I have however just completed a tour of their facilities (you can just phone them up to organise this) and the lady provided me with a booklet of all the costs depending on which type of room of choose (private, shared etc), and delivery type (ceaser, vaginal, requiring epi etc). I would recommend calling them to organise a tour and obtain this booklet with a break down of all costs. Hope this helps.

I did call them already. Now, i am decided to go to QMH. I just cringed when i think about the price, really... My mum delivered all my siblings including me naturally and we are all nine children in the family. When, i was talking to her the other day i asked her a lot of questions and so i decided that maybe QMH is not bad at all for delivery. Thanks for the help, really.. I appreciate it a lot. x
