Maternity Tights

Does anyone know where I can get some maternity tights? Now that the weather has cooled down, I'd like to get a pair of tights (slightly thicker ones, not nylons/pantyhose) to wear with my skirts and dresses.

Think the usual maternity shops carry them.

I wore my pre-pregnancy tights when I was pregnant. They were able to stretch enough to accommodate my expanding waist. For cashmere tights, Fogal carries them. Wolford has cashmere/silk mix.

Hi

If you mean 40 odd denier opaque type maternity tights I was unable to find these anywhere when I was looking a couple of years ago. Only thing I could find was sheer ones at Bumps 2 Babes. Didn't try maternity stores outside of Central though. I ended up getting family to send them to me from home. I found my usual tights didn't come up high enough to go over the bump so were uncomfortable. If you don't have any luck in HK you could try buying some normal ones from M&S but in a bigger size.

Starbucks - yes, I mean tights of 40 denier and up. I have just seen some on a UK website (Jojomamanbebe) which I might order if no luck here.

I got one in H&M last year and also got a super cheap one yet warm and comfortable in a side stall outside Central MTR, I can't remember if it's exit D1 or D2.. it's a side street beside the B2B Building, if you understand what I mean... :)

I thought M&S might have brought in maternity tights now that they have a maternity clothes section. Might still be worth asking them anyway (I couldn't see them in the tights section upstairs but the maternity clothes section is on the street level floor).

I didn't see any maternity tights at M&S. Bought a $95 dollar pair of stay ups instead and they have a hole in the toe already after only wearing them since this morning! I think I might phone around some places and ask as I'm starting to feel too big to traipse around.

If you don't mind wearing it below your tummy, you probably can get by with non-maternity tights in a larger size? :) I just called Fogal, they have cashmere tights, but unfortunately not maternal tights. You might want to check it out if you are in the area.

You can try motherworld, unfortuately website is only in chinese but I found this link and they sell maternity pantyhose and pull ups.

Any luck portia? I was at H&M the other day and no maternity opaque tights this year. I am keen to get another pair too if I can find them easily. Struggling with only one pair at the moment so alternating skirts and trousers to work!!

Definitely saw them at Linea Negra, but I was too cheap to buy them at $160 a pair! Also tried H&M, but no luck. I have ordered an opaque pair together with some other stuff from :: Maternity Wear, Children's Clothes & Nursery Products :: JoJo Maman B?b? ::, but haven't actually got them yet. (BTW, if you order from this website, I think they use DHL on orders over GBP100, but they use airmail on orders under GBP100 which works out a lot cheaper if you can wait! Best to check with their Customer Service as the info is not on their website.)

I am going to try at B2B at lunchtime and will let you know. I might also try buying a larger pair of ordinary tights as I think that might actually work. It hadn't occurred to me to try on my regular pre-preggo tights until Obiwan suggested it, but I did and they were only a little small, so a size or two bigger might be okay.

Thanks portia. Would be interested to hear about B2B. Last time I looked they only had some pretty naff sheer ones. I agree with you on $160 a pair being a lot especially when you only wear them for a short time. I don't have much longer to go (baby due Jan) so might just solider on with the one pair I have!

Starbucks
B2B only had 20 denier sheer tights at $95 a pair. I went to M&S and bought some 40 denier opaque tights in XL size ($195 for 3 pairs). XL is good for up to 48" around the hips. I had no problem getting the tights over my bump and they are comfortable but I'm quite short. It might be a problem to get the tights over your bump if you are tall.

Thanks for the update. I might just try one pair from M&S just in case as I am tall! Am struggling with my sole pair at the moment.

If anyone is interested, I have a pair of new Emma Jane maternity tights in black, 60 denier, medium size (fits 157-170 cm) for sale. I ordered too many pairs from UK! Asking $90 (ie, cost price without postage). Can pick up in Central. Please send me a PM if interested.

M&S=Marks & Spencer?

Wait, Marks & Spencer has a maternity section now? I've been in three times and never seen anything like that .... what floor? or is it a "section" the size of the two-foot rack in Zara IFC? :P

No it's smaller than Zara's selection so I had to be shown exactly where it was as it is impossible to find otherwise!!

And I was not keen on what they had at M&S either. H&M maternity still wins hands down.

The M&S maternity section used to be on the main floor which you enter from Queens Road.
