Hi everyone! Before I got pregnant I was a very nice 36B but as I've blossomed, it seems almost every month I get bigger.... Currently I'm 27 weeks pregnant (with twins) and am already at 42B!!

I plan to breastfeed and have been told that I will get even bigger! YIKES!

Where oh where can I find a bra for me? I'm wearing a 40B (bought from linea nigra) but it really cuts into my ribs (leaving a deep indentation under my boobs) and most of the time I go braless - which I've been told is bad for me but what can I do?

Its so frustrating to visit sites to look for maternty/nursing bras and they STOP at 38?!?!??! How can that be????

Any advice or suggestions wd be most appreciated!!

maternity bras

dear, I just went to the marks and spencer in central, bought some really nice maternality bras. you can try if you can your size. I bet they must be very comfy.

Hi,

I have so far ordered all my maternity bras from figleaves.com and they are fantastic. They arrive really quick and postage and packing isn't much. I'm wearing Anita maternity bras, I started wearing them at 26 weeks because normal bras were just too uncomfortable.
I'm not sure about big sizes, I'm currently wearing a 36, but if anywhere has big sizes they should.

Another tip is bra extenders which are great if your existing bras are just too tight around your ribs, and you have hook fastenings at the back. You can get them from the maternity section of many department stores such as Wing On.

YES bras can be bought in HK and definitely have very large sizes - do a web search for details.

One more tip is that after you give birth your ribcage will gradully return to normal size, while if you are breastfeeding your cup size will go up. You might end up back at 36 or 38 but with a larger cup size. (The woman at YES bras is good at estimating future sizes.) So don't stock up on too many 42s. With my first baby I went from pre-pregnant 34DD to breastfeeding 34G!

I found that the nursing bras that fitted me best were too tight on the ribs for a week or two after delivery, so those bra extenders come in useful at that time too.

Where is Yes bras and Linea? It would be interesting for me to know which size I will have in the end. Now (end of 3 month) up from 36 a/b to 36 c, so if there is a woman which can help to choose a good size I would be very thankful.

Hope to hear from you!

sanny07, in figleaves, there is a page that teaches you how to measure your bra size. for your reference, i was a 36C pre-pregancy. gone up to 36D while pregnant (gradually). when i was bfeeding, gone up to 36DD. after 1 yr of bfeeding, gone to 34DD. now that i have weaned, i'm a 34C.
