I need to buy some maternity jeans. Something with a great fit and great style.

Where do you buy maternity jeans or stylish pants in Hong kong? Is anyone else having this problem?

Also have a look at the Materntiy stores in Causeway Bay, right across from Krisy Kreme. I picked up a couple of pairs from there.

I also got my jeans from Linea Negra. A tad more expensive but am wearing them all again now with my second pregnancy so I am getting more miles from them.

I don't have any advise about buying pants, but just wwanted to comment, is there really a store called Linea negra? What a funny name for a store!

Are the maternity stores in Causeway very good/reasonable? I'm assuming they are in Times Square? Just wanted to ask because I'll make the track over there, no problem, but would like to have more 'western' style clothing as I find the local maternity styles antiquated.

Hi Tutor1,

The stores aren't in Times Sq, they on the street across from Krisy Kreme. I think its Lee Garden Rd. There's also Mother Court just behind Krispy Kreme on Percivial St.

Yes, some of the dresses do look a bit out of date, but do they have the basics/ jeans/ tshirts

I was in Central last week and I noticed that this year's winter fashion, could easily pass as maternity wear. Lots of loose, flowing tops.

H&M (Queens Rd Ctl) is great for stylish maternity clothes. I bought a pair of black trousers and a pair of slim jeans from there and they look great. Then I found out that I'm expecting twins so I probably won't be able to wear them throughout my pregnancy... At least I'll look stylish for as long as possible, before the full blob effect sets in ....

I bought some slim fight jeans and trousers at H&M yesterday as I found them very comfortable yet stylish! I'm 3+ months pregnant right now - can anyone tell me if I will likely need to buy bigger size trousers later? If so, I might have to exchange 1-2 pairs for a larger size in case they won't fit me a month or two's time..

That shouldn't matter if mainly your tummy grows during your pregnancy, as the clothes are specially made to fit your tummy. However, if you put on body weight yourself (e.g. your legs become thicker, hips much wider, etc.), you might have to buy bigger sizes.
I bought a few pants at H&M during my 4th month, and now I'm in my 6th month and still able to wear my clothes comfortably (FYI: since beginning of pregnancy, I've put on ca. 8kg).

I got all mine online at:

www.apeainthepod.com (they have the really stylish but yes, expensive brands like 7 For All Mankind and Citizens of Humanity. They are a dream to wear!) Prices are about USD 175-210

Not a hugh fan of local maternity clothes but I bought a really good pair at Gennie ( but I won't particularly recommend other stuff from this brand though). its of thin, soft denim and slim cut , which is great for hot weather. I bought a pair from linea negra earlier and while its still good stuff,it set me back around 1000, whereas the Gennie jeans are around $567.
