Hi, probably a dumb question, but just want to clarify. I had baby #1 through the public system, but the 2nd time around I would like to plan ahead and get some maternity insurance so I can avoid the public system.
I've received some quotes for maternity insurance. The plan I like has an annual premium of USD$5000 & the waiting period (conception) is 10 months. Under this scenario, will I have to pay $5000 x 2 (2 for 2 years coverage) in order to have maternity insurance up until the baby is actually born?
If that's the case, baby #2 will also have to go through the public system- ugh!
