Hi Everyone,

I know this has been repeated in the thread ad infinitum but can anyone please give me a clear idea of if there are any pre-schoo/kindergartens that teach mandarin at a non-superficial level other than the local stream of kiangsu & chekiang?

We speak English at him but would like to immerse him in Mandarin so he is fluent by middle school.

Thank you!
Mary

Agree, Tutortime. My son benefits a lot from his Mandarin Tutor. The thing is that you need to find a qualified teacher with regular class schedule. Consistency is very important.

personal opinion - Tutor Time has got good Mandarin teacher, but i wouldnt say the same about the English sessions. At least that's what i experienced with my DD during our time there. So we pulled out. :(

We've been very happy with Tutor Time (Red Hill, Tai Tam) -both for English and Mandarin. Considering that we don't speak Chinese at home, our son is now able to converse quite well in Mandarin and is able to recognize certain Chinese characters.

Hi Buckeroo,
how old is your boy? How long did he attend tutortime to learn about recognizing the chinese characters??

Parents, any thoughts about tutortime? Any other mandarin playgoup that you would recommend, please?

I am thiking about tutortime for my 23 months old boy..
