Hello,

My 3.5 year old daughter speaks mandarin and I'm looking for a program that will teach her character recognition in a fun way. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Yes, we have tried KinderU, it's awful! The management is terrible. They basically force you to buy all their products and also bombard you with e-mails and SMS with their products. Also, apparently, they have some issues with all the education experts in the world about something illegal they are doing, but not 100% sure what it was.

Basically, I would not recommend it to anyone.

I think there is one called Bean Sprouts on the HK side, but we personally have not tried it so cannot recommend it or not. I think there is also Mandarin Munchkins which seems to be authentic. There is another one which is supposed to be good but I have forgotten the name. Will post again if I remember. I think the best thing to do is to go for trial class which is popular in Hong Kong. That way, you can see if your little bub enjoys these classes.

Good luck!

I have not tried it but I have a few friends who think Kidsland in Causeway Bay is good. Their website is KidsLand - Home but I understand that they are popular so you need to register in advance. Good luck.
