Living expenses for 3

Hi everyone, I'm wondering what monthly living expenses for a family of 3, with an 11yo boy, would be like, living in the HV-Heng Fa Chueng area? I have some info already but would like to see what you think as well.
Break it down any way you like, but perhaps this maybe simple to compare
Food:3500-4000
(maybe eating out twice/thrice a month or so. We prefer good, healthy food, it doesn'T have to be all foreign, as we live in JPN and have similar foods)
Utilities(Gas, water, elec): 1800 (in summer w/ a/c)
Transportation: 1200 (only public/minibus, taxi etc)
Son's Extrcurricular act.(music, sports maybe language): 1000-2000
Phone/Net/Cable:500
Misc: 800

i'd up most of them...

we pay...

$6000 for 3 adults, 1 toddler, 2 dogs for groceries (not including special holidays) so your estimate would probably up to $4500 especially if you include eating out.

cable: for all of the channels on broadband tv, we pay $388
internet: $174
phone: $110/month, NOT including long distance
mobile phone: $110

electric: we'd pay $1800 EASILY in the sumemr months, but we have dogs, so the air con is on 24/7
gas: we pay $400/month(but we live in DB and it is more expensive)
water: we pay $300/quarter (we have a garden that we hose down everyday)

extra-curricular, i'd DEFINITELY up this one to at least $2000/month, depending on what kind of activities he's into.

transportation: i'd up it to at least $2000-2500/month, there are 3 of you and you need to consider that every fare will be tripled. it also depends on where you live vs. where you work.
also, you need to include how your son will get to school...on the school bus? that will cost at least another $1000/month.
 
don't forget your son's schooling. international schools will set you back anywhere from $5000-12000/month (not including debenture)
 
Living in hong kong

would u pls be so kind to advise if my husband work at Hitech trade center kowloon bay, so what would be the suitable place to live, we can commute aprx 45 mints by MTR or else.

also pls tell me the monthly expenses ( houshold) according to the above area, aprx 2 bed apartment, we are 2 adult and 1 baby 1.5 year old.

I also need to know if there is any pre school there.

if he is working in kowloon bay you could look at:

laguna city~ kwun tong($18-20 by taxi)
sceneway gardens~ lam tin ($25 by taxi)
telford gardens~kowloon bay (may have a shuttle bus to hitec?)
diamond hill~above the mtr station(i don't know what hte complex is called)


those would be the closest.

every area has pre-schools, it all depends on what you are lookign for, your budget & availability.
