leaking pampers

My son is 7 weeks old and we started to use Sealer, then Pampers and Huggies. We found Sealer a little on the rough side though the fit was quite good. The elastic of huggies is a bit too stiff & rough. With Pampers, although thin and soft, we also had the problem with leakage from the side. We're now alternating between Pampers and Nepia. Nepia was recommended by the staff of Eugene, it's soft and though a bit on the thick side, it does hold a lot so we tend to use it when baby goes to sleep for hours. I think I'll try Fitti next since the feedback is quite good.

Bought a pack of medium size Fittis today,...absolutely luv it! Not sure what my son thinks of it but it seems so much better than Pampers, Huggies & Sealer. Definitely alternating with Nepia and Fittis from now on. Fitti is very similar to Nepia, the cottony texture and soft elastic sides are fab, plus the nappy itself is wide enough to prevent leaks. Real glad I gave it a try and highly recommend it to anyone with leakage probs.

Just wondering if any of you have problem with baby needing to change diapers many times throughout the night. My baby boy (8weeks) just cries whenever there is a little bit of wee on the diaper, and needs to be changed immediately, or he will just scream. We have tried several brands of diapers (Huggies, Pampers, Tushies...), and all came out the same. He will go right back to bed as soon as his diaper is changed. I give him a feed at 11:30pm, and next feed is 5:30am, and I am feeding him breast milk. I just cannot get him to sleep through the night without changing diapers. Any suggestions? Maybe leaking diapers are not so bad after all...

Mamy Pokos leaked last night thru her sleeping bag and bottom sheet.

I suspected they might.

They fit well but aren't too absorbent.

Wow.....I usually have problems with leaking...but not until I changed to Mamy Poko. We've been using that with a diaper cover for several months now and it's held up quite well. What diaper brand is good to use at night?
Usually in the morning, she has a 10 lb mamy poko diaper ready to be changed! hahhaha.....

LOL!! 10lb Mamys!

Nanzbier, those Merries have been the BEST so far!! I have used them sparingly! They are like the Godiva's of diapers!

I have 4 left and have saved them for when I am out and about.

I won't be buying Mamy Poko's again, and I tried Japanese Pampers which are ok. The Pampers I used in the states were good and they smelled like powder which was nice.

I might give Fittis a go again. Let me know if you will be doing another HK trip!

Hey Cristletips!

Glad to hear you like the Merries! I was just in HK last week! I should've contacted you!! I know HK is on sale right now....so Im really tempted to go back. I'd be glad to bring you as many packs of Merries I can lug in! =) Just let me know a bit earlier because sometimes they run out of the size. Do you still need mediums?

Nancy

Please let me know when you come again! Anthing you need to trade??!!!

I'd love it if you could bring Merries again.

Yay diaper exchange!
I'll double check on the size and put one on her today since I use them so sparingly.

Oh, so poor as we are still facing the leaking problem.

I also want to try the Merries (Medium size) but no stock in HK.

I purchased the Goo.n diapers (Large size), I find the quality is better than pampers and huggies and more cheaper. Goo.n diaper is one of the product of the DAIO PAPER CORPORATION, Japan http://www.babygoo-n.com/frm_goods.html.

I love Goo.n very much. However, there are only two main suppliers in HK and the stock avaiiabity is unstable. If any mom want to try, please PM me. I can share 20 pcs (2 pcs per each mom).

Hi, all. I'm new here. Just amazed that lots of moms facing the leaking problem. In my experience, I used Huggies for my gal at first. It seemed fine. But after they changed the 'formula' adding some aloe whatever to the diaper. the quality to hold the pee deteriated. So that I changed to a brand called 'Fixies', from Germany. It is the best to hold pee. It never leak. It's a great news for me. I used to buy them from Eugene, unfortunately, the staff said there will not be no more stock. :<
recently, I noticed Huggies has changed the 'formula' again. So I tried Huggies again. The time, Huggies doing quite well. Maybe, u guys can try huggies again.

Just find a local supplier who sell Merries baby diapers. But he only sell Merries S size, but Merries small size is even a bit bigger than Pampers Premium medium size. I will buy a pack to check the quality first. If anyone interest, please pm me.

Hmmm. My baby is in Medium Merries and she's 7.4kg. So I'm confused!! But can your supplier get mediums??? I still think the Merries are the best. I have saved one. My very last Merrie!!! I am using Fittis right now which I'm happy to have until I can get my hands on Merrie's again!

cristletips,

The supplier only have Small & Large size. Both of them are out of stock right now and don't know when will be the next shippment. As the supply in Taiwan also unstable. After I try the first pack, I love it, the quality is excellent. Then I purchased the last 10 packs from the supplier.

Well, I also find the size of different brands with great difference. Previously, I used fitti, goo.n & pampers medium size. But now I can use this Merries 'S' size, I save a lot. The price of the merries only $85 66pcs. Besides, pls also check pm.

I've tried to find an alternate solution to the leaking problem at night for my boy. He is using pampers since birth. Before a friend (also mom) recommended Nepia, but after using 2 nights we found that he's allergic to the diaper with redness :o( I've came across this forum and noted Nanzbier recommended Merries and used of diaper cover. I've tried the diaper cover and it does hold the leaking wee (at least won't wet his clothes less chance of catching cold at this weather), but I hope to find a diaper that will hold more wee so don't need to disturb his sleep middle of the night changing his diaper.

Nanzbier, I would like to ask is the Merries you got made in Japan? Because I can't find Merries in Hong Kong, but noted they sell them in Taiwan. Want to know if the Merries from Taiwan same quality as those from Japan? Thanks!

tigger74,
i belive the merries i bought are from taiwan. i've never used the ones in japan so i can't tell you the difference. i bought my merries in china and i know some are made in china....the quality is just as good. i hope this helps!

we use petpet. they're great. my LO has big thighs, so we use a size bigger and they're fine. i think they're better than huggies/pampers for leaks and keeping the wetness away from her skin.

sealers works great for our son. better than huggies and pampers and readily available in all Mannings
