Laskal Buggy Board. Worth investing?

Hi,

Need some advice on Laskal Buggy Board and is it worth investing especially for family who travel a lot. Thanks

We find it brilliant - especially in airports (and big shopping malls). First of all, it keeps the older toddler/child "contained" so they don't wander off and get lost; it saves tired legs; you can get from point A to B much quicker than with a trailing child.

Sometimes we have the 1 year old in the push chair, the 4 year old on the buggy board, and then the 6 year old jumps on too! It's probably not meant to take the 35kg of their combined weight, but it hasn't broken yet! Obviously it's heavy to push with all the kids on board, but it's fun! Lots of people smile and point as our "choo choo train" rolls by!

I don't have the lascal but the bugaboo buggy board and I agree it's much more useful than a double stroller (too bulky) and good when the second of third child becomes tired during your travels. We pinched one of the small Cathay Pacific pillows and used it as a cushion for her bottom as sometimes she prefers to sit rather than stand on it!

We bought one and it wasn't worth it for us. Our daughter wasn't a big fan, for one and it annoyed us as we kept kicking it. We have a Maclaren Quest that it was attached to - perhaps it works better on other strollers, but for us it was more of a pain than a help. Our girls are 21 months apart, and when they were younger I would just use a carrier and a stroller. Now that they are 1.5 and 3.5, the older daughter walks everywhere with little complaints now.

A friend is borrowing it now, but if you want to buy a 2nd hand one, I can see if she's using it or not ;)

OH sorry - one thing that I DO think is fantastic, if we are walking long distances, our older daughter will take her scooter. She can scoot much farther (and faster) than she can walk. Plus she is responsible enough to stay close to me, even if it's just me and the two girls. I've seen little kids using scooters even in malls and airports - although I'm not sure if it's technically allowed...

We have a couple of these for different strollers and love it! You get used to NOT kicking it once you have it long enough... i.e. you learn to walk in a way that doesn't kick into the buggy board. I think it is great and saved a lot of carrying when the older one got tired.

I think also it depends what size buggy board you get - ours is the "maxi" one - when I bought it, I didn't realise there were different sizes. The "maxi" one is the largest and gives the child the biggest area to stand on - but also is the least convenient! If I could do it over, I would make sure to buy the smallest one instead...
