Hi there,

I'm a Chinese mum with two girls of 4yrs old and 1.5yrs old. I would like to see if there's any native english speaking mum looking for langauge exchange partners for their kids. I can speak fluent Mandarin & Cantonese, and had been a Mandarin teacher in primary school for several years. We may meet up and have some 'Mandarin/Cantonese play time' and 'English play time' together. Or we may teach each other's kids separately in a funny way.

:dance:If you're interested and have other suggestions, pls email me: [email protected]

This sounds very interesting to me. I was an English kindergarten teacher in china for many years. Unfortunately my son is still too young for this as he is only 5 months but I would love to give it a try next year.

hi Marisa, no problem. feel free to contact me when you're more ready.:)

That is an excellent idea. I have a 19 month old daughter I am trying to teach Putonghua. However, I worry she's too young for formal Mandarin tutoring. If I can find her a Mandarin speaking teacher to play with her in Mandarin that would be great. As a native English speaker, I might be interested in leading an English-speaking playgroup if another mommy can lead a Mandarin-speaking playgroup.
