Does anyone have recent experience of Kiangsu chekiang
Kindergarten - international section in north point? My 2 year old son has been offered a place to start there this September. He is currently at high gate house school, a rudolf Steiner school. We are not sure if we should send him. Is it a very pressured traditional Chinese environment?

KCIS is an English school with a decent Chinese component. There is nothing "traditional Chinese" about it.

Where you send your child should be based on your goals and where you see yourself being in 5-10 years time. How long are you looking to come to Hong Kong for?

Both my kids went to KCIS until the end of Primary but then we weren't too happy with how things were so we moved them over to ESF.

You really need to think about whether the International route or Local route is the best for you. There is a good article about it in the Parents Journal this month.

I think it's on page 45.

Hi Kittylover,

Do you mind sharing why you weren't happy with KCIS and when you moved them over to ESF was it an easy process? Especially as it was at the end of primary.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Kittylover,

I'm thinking to apply for KCIS for my son as well. Can you please share your experience there? Thanks!

hi, im wondering when my kid should apply to their kindy? she's currently 2yrs 2 months. any advice how to get in? pls and thx!

great thx carang, anybody have any tips on how to get in? i heard some kids dont even need interview and get accepted?

they will have all of the information. but yes, i would say the vast majority of schools/kindergartens here have interviews.

beware, most of the top schools have extremely long waiting lists... so the sooner you get the info the better.
