We attended the KCS nursery interview on Saturday and our little girl was quite shy so she didn't interact too much with the teacher. We are not sure what criteria are used in these interviews since some younger kids might not be speaking while others are. Can anyone here comment on their experiences either this past weekend or in other years?
For those interested the interview comprised of:
- Teacher asking 'What is your name';
- Say hello to the teacher;
- Teacher asked parents what the child enjoys doing at home;
- teacher shows a little toy/doll and gives it to the child;
- Teacher asks child to draw/scribble with a crayon;
- Use blocks to stack them into a "house";
- Orange/Apple/Banana and the teacher asks child to pick up the banana and give to daddy, give the orange to mummy;
- At the end the child is expected to say bye bye/wave or blow a kiss
ughh... only 18 months old and the tests have already begun.
