just moved to Central HK 2 weeks ago. Looking for friends!! have a 2yr old boy.

Hi, Chris! We're at causeway bay/tin hau. And the library is a short walking distance from where we live. Unfortunately we will miss this Monday's playgroup activity as I am traveling overseas today for urgent business. Will be back Monday evening. Please keep me in the loop for
Future playdates at the toy library or elsewhere.
Btw, for those who've never been to the central library before, upon inquiry with the desk officer at the library lobby, you have to apply for a library card for yourself and for your child. They need your hkID and proof of address and the passport for your child.
Take care everyone and hope to meet all of you soon.

Hi Ladies! Perfect timing, I hope...I am looking to meet some moms (my lil guy is 2 1/2). My husband, son and I relocated to HK late August, however had quite a bit of travel last year with his company. We returned to the States mid-December and are now just returning and resettling back in. I would love to join in so if anyone could confirm this is still on and that there is room for more that would be great. Regards Jenny

Yes I still definitely going, I have booked up to go next Tuesday at 11am
Re. mamaber's comment about the library card - not sure if she meant you need to get one to go to the toy library, so just to let you know you dont need it for this. My son doesn't have one. I am trying to get him a library card however just so we can get some books out for him.
Jenny & Chris & Christina (and anyone else who fancies it) - hope to see you there (dont forget to book up)
Mamaber - hopefully see you at a next meet.

Woops - I just saw that you guys have been posting here... it's been a busy week and i havent been online much.

Dimitri & I would love to join you next Tues @ the toy library.. would it be too late to reserve a spot if I call on Wednesday - (tomorrow)?
11am is a little early for us but we will try to make it on time. I have pushed back Dimitri's schedule a bit so that he sleeps later in hopes that he catches a glimpse of daddy when he gets home from work... so, as a result, Dimitri wakes up later. Ill do my best to drag him out of bed, though. hopefully he wont be too cranky. :)

Ok so.. hope to see everyone there!!

-Christina

No I am sure tomorrow will be fine to book up. I normally go around 11, then either bring some sandwiches to have in the park or eat lunch at delifrance after and then go over to the childrens playground before going home, so your all welcome to do this too afterwards if you fancy it (and the weather is not raining)

Hi sheen and vivien, would be great to meet you next tues. Seems there might be quite a few of us now so if they get full and anyone can't book in perhaps you could still meet after. If the weather is ok we can still go to the park after. Let me know if anyone can't book up x

Sorry everyone Ive made a mistake, I think I have confused you as I originally said to book up for Monday 21st and to book this on Tuesday the 14th, I then started talking about meeting up on Tuesday!

So sorry for the confusion. I have booked to go to the library on Monday the 21st March at 11am. Hopefully you are all free and can still book this date up and it isnt too late. So the number to call to book it is 2921 0386.

If it is too late we can try and arrange for another day.

Let me know if any of you have success in booking up for next Monday

Sorry again!

Hi ladies,

Has anyone booked up for Monday? If not I might call the library to cancel as I have realised I double-booked and I'm supposed to be going to view a Kindergarten. If anyone has booked already though then I will leave it and I'll change my appt with the Kindergarten. Let me know asap.

Hi Christina!

My name is Susan and I moved to HK late January from Perth, Western Australia. I am not a Mum yet, but am due in early Sept. It would be great to catch up. I am heading to New Zealand & Australia next week for 5 weeks, but if your keen to catch up, we can touch base when I return.

BTW, I too am 31yrs old and we live in Kowloon near the Elements shopping complex. 1 stop to Central on the MTR. Have you moved into your new apartment?

Take care
Susan

hi there
only just saw this, did u guys manage to meet up today? if not shall we try again for next monday?

Hi girls,

So shall we try and re-arrange the meet up? What about later on this week, give us all a chance to arrange it. So maybe Thursday or Friday? Could go to the Toy Library, or I recently went to a place in Happy Valley that wasn't bad either, it is a soft play place thats also free to get in. Or dont mind anywhere else if anyone has any other ideas, looks like the weather will be quite nice on Friday so could just go to a park.

Let me know what you all think
