Sorry to crash your thread but in case any of you expectant mums are looking for an excellent helper in advance of your baby's arrival, my helper will be available from July as we are leaving HK. She joined us just prior to the arrival of our daughter in November last year and is really fantastic. She really loves working with newborns, so I thought this would be a good place to post. Thanks Quasimother for organising yesterday's dinner ! it was lovely to see you again and meet some new mums-to-be. The group is really getting bigger and bigger ! would be great to have all of us meeting one day ;)

Hi All

Thanks so much for a lovely dinner last night - great to meet some new faces.
It struck me though that as we are such a large group it is a little tough to get to know everyone very quickly - so was wondering if we could do a gathering where we come together - maybe if some one has a large appt or in a clubhouse or club function room - we could perhaps all bring a dish and have a pot luck lunch/dinner. This way we can mingle much more!!!
Any one got any ideas?:smile:

Nikkig... What a great idea!

But until we find a venue... I'd like to suggest mingling (sitting) with different mums at each event. Meanwhile, I'm suggesting heading back to tea at the Hyatt (again!) for our next meeting.

In the pipeline:

Yesterday, we also talked about organising a baby shower for the July-Sept group in June. Frenchy's suggested some venues that would take us all and we could have a 'Kris Kringle' styled gift exchange.

And, for our next night events to a buffet at the races.

Once the babies start showing up too... this group should continue to be our mothersgroup/breastfeeding/general sanity saving group :-)

Might have to start a newsletter eh!

Fantastic ideas especially the Kris Kringle style baby shower! A good way to do it when we do not have lots of family and close friends here in HK.
