Everyone was intact (large bellies and swollen feet) for lunch yesterday. Sorry you missed it; we sat there till they kicked us out!

Trace - If you're trying for a birthday next Friday, I suggest a 1.5hr walk in the middle of the day Tuesday. I think that did it for our newest mother...

Im a pretty safe yes for Sunday. Does 3p work for those who are still left by then?

S

Lunch was fun - such a shame you couldn't be there Trace - but end is in sight for you and work now!

3pm on Sunday is fine for me. I have every expection that I will be there ;)

Will be a small group this week!

Hi Guys

It was lovely to meet some of you yesterday. If anyone fancies meeting up during the week, let me know ;-)

Thanks Rach

sarbear2 - i wouldnt even consider waddling for 1.5 hours in the heat! especially if it gives me a 30 hour labour.. youch!

news on our new mum - she is doing really well. little ella is doing really well as well!!!

news my end - this morning i woke to a sms from my dad enquiring whether i was picking him up from airport express... Yikes... i thought they were arriving friday so alas my little mate Kate ran to the rescue, retreived my folks and brought them to me. talk about getting blonder and blonder!!!!!

see you gals 3pm this Sunday ... because I am still riding high cowgal!!!

Trace - you are lucky Kate is so lovely :) Forgetting your parents at the airport - you definitely need to finish up at work sometime soon!!

I don't know when Rachael is scheduled to deliver. Hopefully Robin will let someone know by text once baby has arrived safe and sound and they have had a chance to catch their breath! Very excited for them - imagine trying to go to sleep tonight?!? I wouldn't be able to.

Rach - was lovely meeting you yesterday. I'm sure there will be more weekday meetings once we have all settled in with our bubs (when they FINALLY arrive!) so will look forward to seeing you more often :)

Thats great news about #1! Hopefully she had some recovery time before they got home. Id need a full 24-hour sleep cycle after that labour!

Trace,
I do think the long walk is a good idea, not that Id last more than 30 minutes on these feet...I just bought a pair of Crocs to hide them from the world! It seems to have worked for our most recent mums. Another baby was born from what Ive heard, and she had a nice 1 hour stroll home from our lunch on Wednesday!

See you all Sunday,
S

Yep we have three little gals on the ground now. Brilliant news!

As to me, I am in no hurry to go into labour and extended my work until next Wed. I am officially due Sat but have had a chat to God about going into labour then delivering Friday :-)

If I don't go into labour by 5pm Thurs - I will definitely walk for an hour and then enjoy a nice hot curry. Thanks Sarbear2.

Sorry to muck everyone about but I am unsure if I can make it Sun as my parents are here and I promised Batman..... Enjoy yourselves.

I can be free Tuesday at 3pm for scones though if anyone is free and fancies.

Tuesday is just as good for me for scones. Sarah - are you happy to change to Tues? Not too many people available for scones at the moment :)

Lets go with Tuesday.

Rachel Gurr, can you make it as well on Tuesday? We usually meet for scones at The Press Room on Hollywood Road in Soho.

S

Hee hee it was me!!!
Yes I was the first to pop.

Keep me updated on scones via SMS. Maybe afterwards you all would like to pop up for a quick hello to Ella? No promises about the state we will be in though! Or the apartment for that matter:)

Thanks for all the well wishes!
Sarah

Ahhh...you're back online already! We'll keep you in the loop on SMS and play it by ear on Tuesday; maybe some take-away scones?

Let us know if you need anything. Hoping all is well,
Sarah

Home again from the hospital!

Hi Girls!

...checking in here to see what you all've been up to while I've been tucked away in a cloud (literally!) up on the peak for a few days...

My little Peanut was a good girl and chose to be born at 6.11pm on thursday the 17th. I had 16hrs of labour after my waters broke at 2am (yep, the night after our lunch, and I did take a long walk home. I also ate pineapple that night, but I don't really believe in that stuff, I think it was Peanut who decided that it was time.)

It was really great at Matilda, the staff took good care of us and it's such a calm and comfortable atmosphere. Exactly what you need when you're exhausted after giving birth.

We got back home again yesterday, and now we have to get used to this new life. I can't understand how I will be able to manage alone when X goes back to work. It's incredible how such a small person needs so much attention! (Which we are happy to give of course!)
And now X and I finally have to agree on a name!

I think tomorrow is a bit early for us to do an outing, but I hope we'll all meet again soon with our little ones!

Congratulations to the ones who popped, and Good luck to the ones still waiting!

Take care,
Emma

Emma,
Congratulations on your delivery from the stork! I am now i truly convinced that a long walk in the HK summer heat will bring anyone into labour. Unfortunately for me, Id never get very far on my inflated feet. Take care at home for a bit; we will organize a first babies outing soon enough.

I am still in for tomorrow, although its eerily quiet from the two who are/were still awaiting their arrivals as of this weekend...

Whoever can make it, Ill be at the Pressroom around 3p.
S

I'm still planning on scones tomorrow :)

I took a long walk today - which left me feeling less like bubs was coming than I felt before it.... Agghhh!!

See you at 3.

chicks - enjoy today! this is my last day at work so best stay here and finish things.

i am up for scones this Friday or Sat or Sun if I am not in the hospital (which I would like to be).

sorry i have been off air - juggling mum and dad, my relationship with my mother :-(, working full time, finalising things yudda yudda.

sarbear2 - the times has come and i will be heading for a long walk tomorrow for sure!

I will be around but if I dont see all of you - thanks for all of your friendship and support and i am sure we will all catch up very soon with our bubs!!
