Japanese straightening recommendation

Hey there,

I am looking for recommendations for Japanese hair straightening and cut. I've searched and all posts seem to be pretty dated. I am looking for a reasonably priced salon using good quality products. I did this about 5 years ago (not in Hong Kong) and the salon used Shiseido, which at the time, I was told was the best/better quality for this treatment.

Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Thanks!

No worries! Are you still in Pok Fu Lam? Met a free-lance stylist recently in the area. She used to work at the big salons in Central, and quit to be a Mum. Let me know if you're interested and can PM you her contact

Please do! Thanks! I looked through the other post and noted the salons that were mentioned there. Thanks again!

I go to the Hairdressers in Central. I've been having the Japanese straitening with them for about 5 years now and have been very happy. Not sure how reasonable the price is compared to other places though.

Will you also send me the names and places of where you have Japanese straightening done? Both the one in Central and the free-lancer in Pokfulam. I'm new to HK living in Tai Tam and am desperate to find a good stylist who knows what he/she is doing! Thanks so much!

The place in Central that I go to is called the Hairdressers. The number is 2110 3123. They are located on Stanley Street. Sorry don't know the exact address.

I ended up going to MINA DEV'WIL. G/F, 28 Cochrane Street, Hong Kong 2121-0375

Guy did a decent job - my hair, originally relatively straight with kinks requires blowdrying to make it look decent is maintenance-free and very shiny now. He started the straightening about an inch off my roots which gives me lift. In any case, I chicken'd out and spent on the Goldwell product for about $798. I wasn't going to risk it to save $300.

i always go to this salon in jordan (hillwood rd/st?) can't remember the name anymore but here's the number 23698133
