Japanese or other international playdate?

I just moved to Kowloon from Tokyo with my half Japanese/half English daughter (8months) and would like to find an international mommy group to exchange language and information. :) I suppose it's a bit early but I'd like to expose my daughter to as many languages (Japanese and English first, and then more if possible) so that she can develop an ear for languges early on. I'm also interested in trying some early education material by Dr. Dorman (early reading and math) and wonder if any current users can tell me of any actual results. I don't want to go crazy with these educational material but if my daugher can learn to read early and enjoy it, it can't hurt. Or can it?

Hi Sasha's Mom,
My son is half Japanese/half Canadian and is 5 months old. My husband is Japanese and always working so I'm worried about my baby's language development for Japanese since I always use English with him and my husband and I usually speak English together.
I would love to have some playdates together or help form some kind of group.

Great!
Would you like to get together for coffee sometime then?
I was also looking into attending a mommy-and-me-yoga class in Tsim Sha Tsui taught by a Japanese instructor to see if I could meet other Japanese speaking moms there. ;)
Would you be interested in going as well?

Coffee sounds great.
I don`t know about yoga though - my babe is still kinda lying there doing very little so far - I think we`d have to wait to do that. I sent you a PM re coffee though~

educational material

Hi Sasha's mom and shenzhennifer,

I've just purchased a set of educational material from MIkids, and my 11 months old son is starting to follow what the DVD is doing slowly. If I can join your gatherings, maybe we can share thoughts and opinions.
