IVF and Acupuncture

Can someone recommend a good acupuncturist that is an expert on IVF treatments for those who high FSH and low number of follicles? I have read about Troy Sing but wonder whether there are ladies out there with positive experiences with Troy Sing or anyone else.

My best friend was advised against acupuncture in conjunction with IVF due to some research that advised against. I have not had IVK myself, so can't say, however it may be worth looking into fully before going ahead. I will try and find out more info from her and come back if I have anything further.

I think there is a gynie out there who does IVF /IUI for patients and also uses accupuncture on the patient right after the process. I have a few friends seeing her, I recall that she has an office in Central near Duddell Street - at least 1 of them is successful and now 5 months pregnant.

PM me if interested, I can ask for the details for you. I personally have not seen her though, so I have no personal experience to share .

there are several acupuncturists out there who specialise in infertility related issues. i certainly recommend it. i started seeing an acupuncturist about five months before my second fresh ivf, and he told me the probelm was in my liver, there was a blockage, and therefore by the time the bloodflow reached my uterus it was very weak and chances for implantation were small. i delayed my ivf for two months, and he went to work.

over the months i saw him once a week, and he gave me herbs as well.

six days after my ivf embryo transfer, i was visiting my acu, and he took my pulses as he did at the beginning of every visit and he smiled at me and told me i was pregnant.

he was right.

obviously i do recommend acupuncture but as a pp noted, there are studies that show it may not have any beneficial side effects. do some research on it.

Acupuncturist for IVF

Hi Dimsum mum,

Would you be kind enough to forward the contact details of your acupuncturist here or do you have to send it by private message?

I'm very keen to try accupuncture before my next cycle of IVF but given the wide array of information out there I'd like to go with someone tried and tested.

For the OP, I used Troy Sing and had positive results. I have such high fsh and so few follicles that I am not even an IVF candidate. Initially I used him in conjunction with IUI. But this year I took a break from stimulated cycles and did only TCM incl acupuncture for 4 months. Took the herbs and all (which I could not do while on the Gonal F). My fsh came down to within normal range and we conceived naturally. Troy Sing is expensive but I like him and he knows what he is doing.
