Is pediatrician Dr Richard Chiu any good?

I am now seeing Dr Lam Yung Hang and my baby will be born this month. Dr Lam has recommended pediatrician Dr Richard Chiu and am just wondering if he's any good? Any comments please? Thanks a lot.
 
I think he's excellent. Very patient with children and not hasty to prescribe antibiotics. Explains things clearly and is reassuring. I would definitely see him again.
 
Thanks for your comments and that's very helpful. Is Dr Richard Chiu expensive? Around how much does he charge for each regular checkup? And is there usually a long wait?
 
Dr Chiu is actually inexpensive compared to other paeditricians. There is usually a long wait. Expect to wait up to an hour for your appt. I did find that Dr Chiu, much as I liked him, was sometimes inconsistent and sometimes inconsiderate in the comments he would make. I'm now with Dr Thondup and am much more confident with him.
 
we started out with him the first month but found that at busy times, i can't get same day appointments, and that was unacceptable to me as a pediatrician, so we switched to another doc.

He is an excellent doctor. He was there during the delivery of my daughter at Matilda and is reasonably priced. He is also supportive of and knowledgable on breastfeeding BUT he is extremely busy and so I decided to switch to another pead for this reason. He does give you his full attention though when you are with him.
 
Hi girls, does anyone of you know some good peditrician in Shekou? and is anyone of you a resident expatriate in Shenzhen? tksssss
