Is it ok to give rice cereals to a 4.5 months old baby

Hi

My boy is 4.5 months and he is drinking 5oz of formula every 3 hourly. I am wondering if I can start to give him rice cereals & some stage 1 fruits puree.

All advise are greatly appreciated.

i started solids when my baby was not quite 4 month. i fed her 210 ml every 4 hrs and she slept through the night. when she started to cry for more after a big bottle of formula, i decided to try solids. she now eats lunch, no more milk and fruits at around 4 (sometimes milk).(formula in the morning and evening) i give her tea (she hates water) after and between her meals.
just give it a try and see how it goes. you can start mixing some rice cereals in his milk that he can get used to the taste.
