Hi,

We are planning to Hokkaido this Christmas and not sure if it is suitable for our
10mths plus(by then) baby or not. Appreciate your sharing as i know Hokkaido is very popular among the Hong Kong people especially winter. Thanks

Keep your baby wrapped up warm, and he or she will be fine. People give birth and raise babies in Hokkaido, just as they do in Siberia, Scandinavia and other cold places...

I went to Osaka in early feb, still pretty cold, not Hokkaido with my baby when she was almost six month, it was fine and we had a great time together!

Btw, Japan is a pretty baby friendly country, i think your baby will be just fine.

Just to let you know indoors always have heater on, so u better put different layers on your baby so that your baby won't be over/under-dressed.

Suitable in what way? Too cold? Just buy warm clothes (babies look super cute in snowsuits BTW). Are you worried about radioactivity? Hokkaido is far enough away from Fukushima you don't have to worry. And as new dad said, Japan is extremely baby friendly, so really there is nothing to worry about I think. what are your concerns specifically?
