I would like to introduce rice ceral to my baby. And I heard Gerber rice ceral is good. But it is difficult to find in local supermarket, or pharmacy. Can anyone tell me where to find Gerber rice ceral in Hong Kong Island side?

Also I assume I should only give my baby plain rice ceral at the begining, then when she get use to it, I can give her rice ceral with flavour, is it right?

There is rice ceral with formula , and plain rice ceral. Is it ok that give rice ceral with formula to baby, or it would better use the plain rice ceral, then I mix the formula at home by myself.

Need advice, please.

Hi Yan

You can buy Gerber cereal on-line from ParkNShop (www.parknshop.com). I started with plain rice cereal first for both my boys. I just mixed it up with cooled boiled water and sprinkled in some formula powder so that it tasted familiar.

You might want to consider Earth's Best or other organic whole grain brown rice options - also available at the parknshop website.

We mix with breats milk. The first few days is is super watery and more gets outside than inside... but after a few days of that you can move to avocado, sweet potato, etc... and then oatmeal... all of which are thicker. After 2 weeks our baby wouldn't eat the thin stuff anymore :)

Have fun - it is messy, but loads of fun feeding baby!
