Insurance cover after 5 Months pregnant?

Hi-Is it worth going for private Insurance cover during ur pregnancy? if yes, pls recommend best one in HK..
 
Most insurance companies won't cover you if you're already pregnant. The waiting periods are 10-12 months before maternity coverage kicks in.
 
Yes, agree with Rani if you're referring to an individual plan.

However, if you or your partner join a new company or can somehow get on a group plan, then I believe most insurance companies would automatically cover you.

Not "most" if you or husband join a new company - big multinationals (or any other company speding a lot of money on its employee healthcare plan) with the most expensive plans will provide maternity cover if you or your husband switch jobs, but that's it. With smaller and local corporate plans you likely wouldn't be covered.
