planning a trip to Inspiration Lake this Sat. wondering how bad/crowded parking is on those days. learnt from a friend that there are only 12 spots..

also they say we can park at Disneyland hotel and then take shuttle over, but how do they charge for parking over there?

thanks,

Hi Kellyst,
This is especially the case during weekends, you may have to wait for your turn to park in their very limited space car park for yet, such a huge yet wonderful recreational facility.
They charge HK$25 per hour and you have to pay at the 7-Eleven kiosk there. They will give you a receipt with your car number plate on it so that you can present it on the front wind screen of your car.

yes, parking is a big big problem there as spaces are really limited (though i think it's a bit more than 12).
my advice is to get there early !!!

i think it's over $100 for the day parking in Disneyland.

For the younger kids, there is also a well-maintained playground with a little fountain to cool down the heat. Not many playgrounds in our neighbourhood have swings, so this is something new for my little one to try. They do have bike- ride hire for 2-4persons. Lots of carps can be found in the lake if you like fish.

Nothing much at all, the 7-11 kiosk there stocks some kind of instant lunchboxes; Marinated chicken drumstick/leg; fishballs and drinks(cartons/cans/bottles) hot or cold. Would be nice if they have a starbucks & the like there.

Thanks qiaoqianzhao! I actually went there yesterday with the kids, and they loved it. (I would like it more if they had something like a starbucks!) We ended up eating at the Hollywood Hotel. They have a tea set for $78 + 10% (20% off for annual pass holders), which included a drink, 3 Mickey Mouse cookies, some Mickey shaped melons, a smoked salmon open sandwich, and a big piece of bread pudding.

No, no starbucks!!!!

The great thing about inspiration lake is that you can take your own food and have a picnic on the grass. We have enough starbucks and pacific coffees in the rest of HK without them taking over inspiration lake too!

We were there at the weekend and I thought it was great.....plenty of real grass, all of which can be walked, sat and played on. Perfect for little ones, perfect for picnics!

You can park at disneyland and then take the shuttle bus or a taxi over to the park.
