We live in an area where mosquitoes do enter the home every now and then. For a newborn baby, is the best prevention to use a mosquito net or would it be safe to use those mosquito repellent creams/patches that are so-called designed for babies?

Snuggles, I've been using Baygon plug in. We've been using it while we were in Sydney and Hong Kong and it worked both times.
No mozzies as long as it's plugged in.

Dear Spockey,

Thought to use similar method, except husband says the 'electric waves' and the 'fragrant emitted' may be harmful to the baby. Your thoughts?

Thanks!

we use an electric mosquito repellant that emits sounds to ward off mosquitos. another way is to have the AC on so it's too cols for mosquitos to survive.

when out, we use the patches and a smaller version of the electric.

There was only fragrant in the first couple of hours. So I avoided plugging it in directly in bub's nursery. There's no electric waves as it's a liquid solution. It's not one of those electric/magnetic waves gadgets. It's a refillable liquid capsule sort that we've been using.

No dramas so far. Bub has been developing well in all areas and ahead in some in the last 18 months of his life.
