Immunization

Hi

just wondering do schools in hk accept kids who have had no vaccinations.
Our son's school asked us to give them copies of all vacinations at the beginning of each term

thanks

I needed to proof that my daughter had MMR + DTP booster (4-6 years old), otherwise school wanted her to be vaccinated via the government program.

Oh we did. We were at the doctor and there was another mother who had not vaccinated her 15 month old son and wanted the doctor to guarantee thar nothing would happen to her son and she wanted the dr to give alternative remedy as her kid was going to a school /prenursery

I've just started collecting applications for local nurseries for my 18-month old and so far, they all seem to ask for a copy of the immunization chart, but the international ones don't seem to require it. My friends who don't immunize their children choose to go to international schools.

The other mom wanted the dr to guarantee nothing would happen to her son as is he wouldn`t catch an illness or he wouldn`t be rejected from school? I certainly hope it`s the latter...
(alternative therapy - going through the private system instead, hehehe)

Then she was clearly nuts. No doctor could make that sort of guarantee. She should realise that she is responsible for her child's health not her doctor. How can he guarantee her anything of the sort.
