Humidity

I have never experienced humidity levels like these last few days.
The floors always feel damp. Windows and mirrors are constantly fogged. The walls are starting to look mouldy. Is this just a short phase or does it last a whole season? How do people cope? I have closet dehumidifiers but looks like I need something more heavy duty now. Any suggestions?

Zen... PLEASE USE DEHUMIDIFIER!!!!! and turn the AC on. Last year I have to trow out my leather jacket and shoes. HK wheaters like up and down. Sometime make me headache and stuffy nose.

Thanks sourcing and Ewee.
I've turned on the airconditioning as no amount of mopping up seems to do the trick.
Where's a good place to buy a dehumidifier? I dont even know what it looks like.

Fortress. Get the highest capacity (in terms of litre) and quietest one you can afford.

ParknShop is selling a 20L one for $1200. Not sure if that's a good price. We need a couple in the bedrooms.

$1200 for 20L is very good. But do check the noise level. Bought a Philips that's so noisy and irritating that we had to give it away.

Are those little green/glass things dehumidifiers? They look so mcuh nicer than all the others I've seen. Anyone know where to get them?

Got mine from Fotress, I throw large amount of water everyday from the tank. It makes me feel good to see so much water being drawn from the air in our home.

hk consumer council just gave a report on the dehumidifyers on the market. i haven't read it yet, but you can get the report in this month's "choices" magazine", but it's in chinese. let me try & google to see whether an english version of the report is available.

i mean, throw out the elephant once they are filled with water & replace. i actually have them in the closets all year round.
