How to label shoes and socks?

How do you label school shoes and socks?
We ordered the cloth and vinyl labels from stuck on you, but did not order for shoes and socks. Now if we order it will take 2-3 weeks to arrive.
Can we get these locally made? Any shop to recommend?

We stitched our daughter's name on her socks, and write inside her shoes with a permanent marker...
 
neither have we. but i have used permanent markers to label everything else and it works just fine.
 
Yes, even i thought that there is no need to label them, so did not order these while ordering clothing labels.
But now the school wants each and everything to be labelled.
Will go on with the permanent marker to write the name.
