Hi all Im pregnant, and I was wondering to get the baby home from the hospital by Taxi, do you have to buy a babyseat and put it in the taxi? Or can you carry the baby? Im not sure what the laws are here for this. Thanks all.

As far as I know, there are no laws that are enforced that say the baby has to be in a carseat. However, I really think it is a good idea. I would ask the hospital if they have a "loaner" baby car seat that you can use.

We used a Baby Bjorn when our son was tiny. But we also took public transport to get to our house so it was a bit different. It's always a bit scary feeling getting in a cab with the baby in HK, I think. (But, we still do it)

My kids were born in the States, but no hospital will let you leave without a buckled in child (or special bed). I usually use the car or buses and try to avoid taxis with my kids (my oldest is 4 and can use the regular belt, not ideal but doable). Because I know if something happens there is no way that you can physically hold your child ... I don't think I would ever forgive myself. Especially a vulnerable new born should get all the protection he or she needs and deserves.

everywhere. mothercare in prince's building, bumps to babes, I think Eugene, all the baby stores on the lower level at the ocean terminal mall in TST. Wing On I think...

bear in mind that the bj?rn can only be used to a certain size. We use the ergo carrier, as it lasts til they are toddlers and can be used for an infant, but people have great things to say about the bj?rn

Hi, if you're using the bjorn in a taxi do make sure you slide the belt between you and the baby, not around you both (which in the event of an accident would be worse than being unrestrained). Bub is over the weight limit for the bjorn, but we still use it in taxis as it's better than nothing.

Hi you can get the Baby Bojrn from Sogo in Causeway Bay, thats where I bought mine. You can find it from Jacaddi in Sogo Caueaway bay.

Hope it helps.
