How to decide

I have been going to Dr Dawkins for gyn check-ups for years. I like him, but I don't know anyone who has used him to deliver a baby. Dr. Philip Ho has delivered the baby of almost everyone I know, and I like him as well. Does anyone have any references for either of these doctors? I like them both, and can't decide who to use.

Does Dr. Phillip Ho charges according to the class of room you stay in the hospital ? Anyone knows what his delivery charges are ? I find the concept of a doctor charging accoring to the class of room the patient stays in quite "unethical".
 
I found Dr Dawkins to be excellent and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for your pregnancy and delivery.
 
I agree with vtcat. Most of my friends & I used Dr Philip Ho for delivery. We found him very professional & good bedside manner. His charges depend on the method of delivery not the room type. Very reasonable charges too.
 
Sue, actually that is not correct. Dr. Ho's fee sheet states that he will charge HK$ 1,000 per day extra if I stay in a private room! To be honest, that makes me a bit angry.
 
My doc, Dr. Anne Fang, charges the same fess no matter what type of room you choose to stay in the hospital.

she is a very good doc, very kind, patient, and professional.
 
Hi Vtcat, maybe this is Dr Ho's new policy. Cause back to 6 months ago, he didn't charge me extra . You could talk to his assistant Kelly to seek for the reason , if you don't want to press the issue with the doctor.
 
Any recommendation as to a good ob whose delivery charges do not depend of class of accommodation. I am happy with my present ob but he charges $6,000 more if I stay in private room which annoys me slightly.
