How long does your baby breast feed for?

My bub is 9 weeks and only feeds for 8-12 mins and can last for 3 hours. I was just wondering if there are any other "quick feeders" out there as most people and books say that babies feed for 25-35 mins. She does actively suck for the whole time (ie isn't a sleepy eater) so is probably just super efficient!(?)

That's great - lucky you! You have an efficient feeder!

My second is all done in 5-10 minutes (both sides) and goes 3-4 hrs between feeds.

You may find that you'll need to add a feed here and there - especially during growth spurts. Just follow your baby's lead and enjoy...

Mine is 8 weeks. Sometimes she would feed for 15 mins one side and last for 2-3 hours, sometimes she nurses for 35 mins one side and 10 mins on the other side. I just watch her cues. At first I did worry because all the books say to feed at least 30 mins on one side but then she is gaining and has enough wet and poop diapers so I am a bit more relaxed about it now.
 
my girl only ever feeds for about 10 minutes max. she has almost tripled her birthweight in 6 months!
