Hi I've applied for my daughter's first British passport last week
and my supporting documents hasn't been returned to me yet
I understand they send the docs back to you from HK processing centre then you'll get your passport delivered from UK
the consulate generale recieved my application and documents on the 10th Feb.
is it taking longer than normal? today is 17th Feb.
We're planning to travel soon so I'd like to hear from other mums how long it took to get the supporting documents back.
thanks millions~

Our son's passport took 6 weeks near enough (as per it states on the FCO website), and I seem to re-call that the birth certs etc were only returned a week or so before the passport arrived. But you don't need the supporting docs to travel do you, just the passport?

thank you for the reply
I might need the docs for other visa application soon so I wanted to find out if it's going to take all 6 weeks
thank you

We just renewed my husbands passport too, and had to send in his old passport, and that was also only returned a few days before the new passport arrived, even though that came back from HK and not the UK like the new passport. I have a feeling they may keep things until the passport is actually printed and on its way.
