Hospitals where mother and baby can stay together?

Hi Mums and Dads,

I was sick recently, and it got me wondering. If I, or my 6 month old baby, needed to be admitted to hospital, are there any hospitals in Hong Kong (public or private) where my baby and I could stay together?

public hospitals won't allow children on the ward...

my daughter was in NICU at Pamela Youde last year for 5days and they allowed one parent to room with her as she was only 11 mths - don't think they allowed parents to room in for the older children in NICU though (over 5yrs)

I have also stayed with my son at Canossa. He was only 8 weeks, and we were in the ward.

sorry, i was NOT referring to when the kids are sick but to when the parents are sick... children are NOT allowed in the ward, unless it is a pediatric ward and they are a patient.

I was hospitalised when my son was 6 months old and exclusively BFing. My son couldn't stay with me but after a bit of negotiation my son was allowed to come in any time and nurse. He couldn't spend all day in there, but he was able to pop in and out throughout the day.

When my son was hospitalised one parent was allowed to stay.

Both times this was in a public hospital.
