hospital tours?

Hi all... Just wondering if anyone has information on the Queen Mary hospital tours? I'm due in early April and haven't gone yet. I can't find the sheet that Tsan Yuk gave me about it...

Hi Katie,

You can telephone Tsan Yuk on 2589-2387 to book a tour. You probably remember that they're each Saturday at 11:00. I've done mine already and it's a very worthwhile exercise.

Thanks for the info, Polly. I just got around to calling them yesterday, and unfortunately for me the next available tour isn't until March 31st! That's only about a week before my due date. I sure hope this baby doesn't come too early!

I really need to stop being such a procrastinator!!
 
ctrbabe 1 - we are booked on a tour on 24th February but have now decided to go to Matilda so you can have our space if they will let you, or you can pretend to be me - but that may be a problem with the HKID number. Give them a call and see what they might do. Booked under the name of Jacqueline Miller.
 
geiboyi and Polly, what do they do when you arrive? do they mark your name off on a list or anything like that? Are you sure they don't check your id number?

Millerwhisk, I would love to take your place on the 24th. I think that would be a lot more convenient for me. If they don't check id's then I will just give them your name - easier that way - but if they do check id's then you probably have to call them to say that you aren't going. I don't know if they'd accept that from me. Hmmmm... Will be in touch! Thanks so much!

Your welcome. They asked me for my id number when I booked in on the phone but I suppose you can always tell them you forgot your purse and left your id at home.

Yeah, I think you'll be fine taking Jackie's spot. When we went we were just on time and joined the group as they were waiting to get the lift to start the tour. As far as I could see they just counted Mums. As Jackie suggested, if they were to ask for ID, just say you forgot it but I really don't think they will - they don't have time. You fill out a quick questionnaire at the end and it doesn't even ask for your name on that.
 
thanks for all the info... Oh, last 2 questions, where exactly do we meet the group and about how long does the tour last?
 
It takes about an hour. You'll see a SevenEleven at the entrance to K Block, once inside the lifts are round to the right to take you to the 5th floor. Don't be late because it does start promptly.
