I was told that hospital can bill DKV Globality and IHI directly, have anyone done this before? Also those that have bought for DKV or IHI insurance, did you go throu an agent? Thanks ahead xx
I have IHI and it's true that you can arrange for the hospital to directly settle charges. You just need to make arrangements ahead of time to ensure the right paperwork is in place. My agent is very good and guides me through everything that's needed.
I have DKV and they do that. You need to contact the insurer with the relevant information about the procedure and they provide the hospital with a guarantee of payment. If it's a maternity booking then DKV won't pay the deposit but they will refund it when you are billed for the birth. We use kwiksure and they're very helpful.
