japan home center has many locations around town and they're pretty affordable. plastic ware, lightbulbs, a random seeming hodge-podge of stuff.
wing on has everything under the sun, its a local department store and reasonably priced.
the $10 store is located near wing on in the western end of queen's road (i believe!) and carries quite a lot of useful household stuff
