Hi mommies

Just wondering if you are interested in joining a home Mandarin playgroup to be held at Park Island. The schedule will be as follows:

Tentative schedule:

Commencing date: May 24 onwards
Time: 10:30 to 12 noon (every Sat. morning)
Qualified/experience Mandarin tutor invited (incl. singing, story telling and playing)
Age group: 2-3 yrs old kids
Fees: Approx HK$200 per kid (actually depending on how many kids)
Maximum : 6 kids

Please let me know ASAP.

I'd be interested to join with my son but also think that HKD200 a session is quite pricey..

Is that the price for 6 kids?
 
HK$200 if for one and half hour (max 6).
Another option is that HK$150 for 45 mins (max 4).

All fees are included an expense for renting the playroom in club house of Park Island and transportation fee for tutor.

Think about it....

Camka, you can see the Park Island when you are passing through Tsing Ma Bridge (to airport).

have you check with you clubhouse if such functions are allowed cause we previously joined a Kindermusik class at Tsuen Wan at someone else's clubhouse and were told by there management office that PRIVATELY ran classes were NOT permitted so our classes were cancelled after a few weeks.

Park Island is a small island located near Tsing Yi. Similar to Discovery Bay, cars are not allowed into the island. You could either take the ferry from Tsuen Wan or shuttle bus from Tsing Yi station or Kwai Fong.
 
Checked w/ our clubhouse. It should be okay for private function.

Can I get confirmation from any interested mommies if you will join or not by Sunday (18 May)?

Good news! I was able to negotiate w/ the tutor about the tutorial fee.

HK$100
45mins every Saturday
You can choose either 10-11am or 11-12noon session.
Max. 6 kids per class

What happens if we can't make it for a session? Will there be a charge still?
 
Wow, seems teaching kids mandarin is a cash cow in HK. I'd welcome anyone to come to play with my 2.8 years old son for FREE as soon as we find a more permanente place to live (North Point or Quarry Bay?). All of us are bilingual in English and mandarin already. I moved to US after college and worked several years as a children's librarian there before coming here.

You will not loose your $$. If there is a spare spot in either the earlier or later sessions on any particular day, the child could join that.

Now, I have gathered about 6-7 kids but will wait till 12 kids for two sessions (targeting June 7).

When do you think you can start the playgroup? Just let me get a brief idea so I could prepare for the lesson (booking a room. etc).

If any mommies are interested in joining the playgroup, please let me know with which session you'd like to join.

Anyone interested to join Park Island Blue Blue Clubhouse playgroup? I have registered for the playgroup (1.5 - 3 years old - Every Friday 11:00 to 12:30pm) but my daugther unable to attend.

The management told me that the money I paid is not refundable. Please message if anyone interested to take my daugther's place (HK$600) for 5 sessions in Apr (1, 8, 15, 22 & 29) 2011.
