What is it like going to a resort with a small baby? (currently 11weeks)
I heard staying at Pool villas are great as you can play with your baby in the pool, have nice room service dinner etc.. but swimming classes are only available from 4 months..
Can 3months old babies go in the pool if we hold on to them? Or is that a big no-no?

It's probably the easiest time to travel with a baby. Yes, baby can be in the pool but we waited till ours was around 6 months as she had eczema and I didn't want it aggravated in any way.

We're thinking of going away at the end of the month for a week with our (wil be then) 3 month old. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good place to go? After somewhere with a beach of sorts, and happy to fly, but not for too long. Have been to Phuket before and think that might be suitable, but would like to try somewhere different. Just not sure where is really baby friendly and advice is better than looking on websites and them telling us it is child friendly. Also, don't really want to have to go somewhere where the baby will need any additional jabs to those we've already had.

Thanks,

Try kk in Malaysia. Very short flight and the Shang there is great. I don't think u would even need to leave the resort. Am referring the Shang further away from the airport. They even have their own orangautan sanctuary

Agree with KK in Malaysia. 3 hour flight. Taxi to Shangri-La Rasa Ria is about 45 minutes. Wonderful resort! Been twice with our little one! Good value for money too, depending on time of year.

- Cebu, Philippines
- Langkawi, Malaysia (3 Starwood Hotels etc...)
- Penang, Malaysia - the Shangri-La
- Singapore - Shangri-La on Sentosa Island

Thanks All. Looks like Shangri-La's are popular! Will take a look and hopefully get something booked up soon.
