Hi, Now thinking about Christmas/CNY hols.. where to go? Any suggestions for a very active, food fussy 3 1/2 year old? My friend wants us to join her to Australia, but I am quite hesitant - don't think my guy (nor us) could last a journey of over 4 hours....! Thanks!

I always recommend Thailand, good for all ages, in my opinion. Lots for kids to do and look at, food can be very palatable for tourists within tourist areas, inexpensive, and short flight. Xmas is also a perfect time to go, weather wise(but not koh samui side), but also peak season so a bit more expensive, crowded and usually need to book ahead.
We have been to Singapore and just now Taiwan with out toddler. No problem with both places, though sing would be better for smaller kids. Japan is fun, but coooooold in December (unless you ski), and within 4 hrs.

i took my son to bangkokg for 11 days (to get his teeth fixed) and the two of us had a blast! he's also quite fussy, but we never had a problem finding something that he'd eat.

Thanks Ladies! I am also thinking about Japan for a few days with another family... it would be fun to see snow! Thailand is also good, Sing we go to ALL the time (my hubby's from there so we go frequently to visit mum & sis). Just wanted a different place. Actually Malaysia is also very nice - Penang, Langkawi, Kuantan etc...
