My doctor told me that because it's not a 'live' vaccine it doesn't really impact on trying to conceive. However, you do need to make sure you are not pregnant when you actually have the injections. I ended up missing the window for one of my injections because I needed to wait and see if I was pregnant. Maybe it's these timing issues your doctor was thinking of? Better to ask him/her for clarification, of course.
