Hemorrhoids! Help!

I?m a bit embarrassed but I developed hemorrhoids when I was pregnant with twins. It was never bad enough to bother me so I left it untreated, but all of a sudden in the last few days, I have this big thing growing on my bottom and it is getting uncomfortable. The thing is, I need to travel on business next week and I have no time to really treat it now.
1) Can anyone recommend a good doctor?
2) What can I do when I?m on trip to prevent it from getting worse than it is now??

Any GP could prescribe a good cream or in serious cases suppository for that.

I too had this problem while I was pregnant, and a few reoccurences every now and then. Can't remember the name now. Will find out and post it later. Don't know if you can get it over the counter though. Why don't you try to ask the pharmacist in Watsons or Mannings?

Traditional remedy is to put cold compress on it But personally, I prefer the cream, the pain's gone in a matter of minutes
