After interviewing two ladies today, it seems that I have found the one. But I got some new ???s ( I am doing all these without an agent)
The helper's current contract is ending in a few days, she said if we like her, she needs to submit the new contract paper work to immagration dept before the old contract end, and the gov will give an extention of staying so she can wait for new visa here instead of going back to PHIL. I am a first time employer, so I am not sure if this is the regular legal way to do it. No one wants to get into trouble.
She also told me that she can start trail in July without her new visa, (it sounds illegal to work without a new visa) and I can pay her privatly. if I don't like her after trying 1-2 weeks , before the new visa application go through, I can send her away and cancel the visa application. Is this practical?
And in this case, when should I buy her medi insurance and send her to get medi exam? Suppose our new contract starts on Aug 1st.
