helper's air ticket

I have hired a helper through an agent. The helper is finished contract is processed her new visa in HK. She wants to go back to the Philippines for vacation before starting to work for me. I was told I have to pay for her air ticket back from her vacation (Manila -> HK), is this right?

yes, that is correct. her former employer pays hkg-mnl... you pay mnl-hkg.

at the end of YOUR contract you pay hkg-mnl. if you renew the contract with her, then you pay mnl-hkg.

exactly as Cara says above. a freind had this confirmed with the labour dept.

i believe that it is stipulated in the contract... no need to contact the labour dept.
