Helper Working Whilst Visa Processing

I'm wondering if anyone has the experience of their helper working for them while waiting for the visa to be processed? We found a helper and she has nowhere to live currently. She's living at a church or something like that while waiting for her visa to be approved. I'm wondering if I let her stay at my place, would I get into trouble.

according to the agent, she has to leave the country whilst her visa is being processed...my agent helped arrange for dormitory accomodation in macau but thankfully my helper's visa got processed even when she was in hk so she only had to go to macau to get her passport stamped that she has left the country, and activated her visa on her way in.

btw visa takes 3 months...we applied for the visa when we were still in singapore and my helper came in on visitor pass for 2 weeks, then i applied for 1 month extension and I had to write a letter to say that she is here on holiday and not working....thankfully her visa got approved in the last week of that extension....

Thanks. We've decided not to risk it. We're just going to wait for her and call immigration up once we get the case number.
