Helper with breast cancer - any advice?

I currently have 2 helpers looking after our apartment and my 19 month old twins. One of my helpers has just found out that she has breast cancer. The doctors in HK have recommended that she go for an operation and then follow-up with radiotherapy. This effectively means that she will not be able to work for about 3-5 months. We don't want to terminate her contract as this is a very difficult and horrible time for her but we need to employ another helper to take over for the period that she's out of work.

Has anyone had any similar experiences on how to deal with this situation?

Also, if anyone can recommend any available helpers or good agencies that would be great.

Helper Insurance

Did you take out insurance? If you did check what this covers. I seem to remember ours covered hiring another helper if ours was unable to work. (I think?)

Yes we do have insurance - good idea to check whether it covers cost of having to hire another helper. I think it may just cover medical expenses. Thanks.
