Helper visa question

My helper is going back the Philippines for a 2 week vacation next month. She is in the middle of her contract. Does she need any special documents to get out of HK, enter Philippines, leave Philippines or come back into HK? She told me that somebody told her she needs something called an "Overseas Employment Certificate" to get back into HK? Is that true? Any information would be helpful. Thanks!!

I think she does need to get something from the Philippines consulate. The consulate is open on Sundays, and she can enquire and apply this weekend.

she might need exit papers which would also exempt her from paying the airport fee at the manila airport. if it's her first time, then it usually needs to be done through an agency. after that, she can just get them herself.....but like rani said, check the consulate...i am sure it's on their website too.

Yes, she needs to show the OEC to the Philippine immigration when she returns to HK. This will also exempt her from paying travel tax and terminal fee in the Philippines. She can get this from the Philippine consulate (United Centre in Admiralty) during weekdays. Sundays, she needs to go to the Bayanihan Centre in Kennedy Town to get the OEC.
